International Conference on Supercomputing 2026 (ICS26):
Call for Proposals of Workshop
We are soliciting proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with ICS’26, 6-9 July 2026, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. The scope includes, but is not limited to, supercomputing related topics listed in the ICS’26 call for papers, as well as other topics such as education and emerging technologies and their trends.
Topics included but not limited to:
- Processor, accelerator, memory, storage, interconnect, and system architectures, including architectures based on future and emerging hardware (e.g., quantum, superconducting, photonic, neuromorphic).
- Programming languages, paradigms, and execution models, including domain-specific languages and scientific problem-solving software environments.
- Compilers, runtime systems, and system software, including optimization and support for hardware resources and energy management.
- High-performance algorithms and applications including machine learning and large-scale data analytics, as well as the implementation and deployment of algorithms and applications on large-scale systems.
- Tools for measurement, modeling, analysis, and visualization of performance, energy, or other quantitative properties of high-performance computing systems.
Submission of Proposals
Schedule
- Deadline for proposals: Dec 15, 2025 [Early decisions will be made for early submissions]
- Last notification date: January 15, 2026
- Workshops: July 6, 2026, main conference: July 7-9, 2026
- Camera-ready deadline: early May
Details for Workshops
- Workshops can be either Half day or Full day.
- Peer-reviewed workshop papers will be included in ACM Proceedings of ICS’26-W.
- We anticipate a maximum of 8 full-day workshops / 16 half-day workshops.
Submission Details
To submit a workshop proposal, please prepare a PDF file (2 pages max, excluding biographies and references), including the following information:
- The title and abbreviation for the workshop.
- A description of the topics and specific issues that the workshop will address, how they complement ICS’26, and why their theme is relevant.
- Expected format of the workshop (regular paper presentations, poster presentations, invited talks, panel discussions, demo sessions, or other ideas to promote an active exchange of ideas).
- Desired duration (full-day or half-day) and willingness to consider shorter format if necessary/applicable.
- If half-day format, preference for morning or afternoon (will be honored if possible).
- Preliminary high-level agenda, in order to make format more concrete.
- Accepted peer-reviewed papers can be included in the ACM proceedings. ACM is transitioning in 2026 to 100% Open Access. Workshop organizers need to be aware of the different ACM paper categories and their implication for open access fees. Full/short paper: different page limits (at most 4 for a short paper, at least 5 for a full one), both require the open access fee unless corresponding authors are from participating institutions at https://libraries.acm.org/acmopen/open-participants. For more details, please visit https://www.acm.org/publications/openaccess
- List of organizers including their short biographies, affiliation, and their expertise.
- Preliminary program committee, if applicable.
- If previous editions of the proposed workshop have been held, please also include the following
- Website(s) for the previous workshop(s)
- Information about previous edition(s) in terms of paper submissions and attendance.
- Length of the workshop (half-day (AM, PM, or any) / full-day)
- The number of participants.
